Energy conservation is important for the consumer, the cooperative and the environment.  The consumer benefits from reduced power bills and increased home comfort by implementing energy efficiency improvements and practices.  The cooperative benefits by consumers decreasing their energy usage particularly during peak consumption periods.  Reducing the peak demand for electricity lowers the generation capacity required to provide electric service to members and results in decreased wholesale power costs.
