To Begin New Residential Service:
New residential members will need to apply for service online or at one of our district office locations. The deposit for new residential service is $300, and must be paid prior to establishing service. There is an additional $50 non-refundable service charge and a $5 membership fee. Be sure to bring your driver’s license and Social Security card as proof of identification.
To Begin New Commercial Service:
New commercial members will also need to apply for service online or at one of our district office locations. Deposits for commercial service are based on an estimated three months usage at the location in question, with a minimum deposit of $500. In lieu of the required deposits, commercial account holders may choose to submit an irrevocable letter of credit from their financial institution, or a surety bond from their insurance company.
To Begin Pre-paid Service:
New residential members will need to apply for service online or at one of our district office locations. The deposit for prepaid service is $50 and must be paid prior to establishing service. There is an additional $50 non-refundable service charge, and a $5 membership fee plus the amount of power put on the meter. Driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers are required as proof of identification.
Prepaid Power is sent directly to your home using our distribution power lines. Members receive a text message notifications when balances are low to decide when to purchase more power.
Electricity may be purchased in the office during business hours. Electricity may also be purchased using the cooperative’s mobile app or by calling 855.699.3322 (855-MYWFECA) 24/7/365.
Many prepaid members notice a reduction in the amount of power they’re using – mostly because they’ve become more conscious about when and how they’re actually using electricity.
