January 2026: 

Fruit and vegetable growers from across the Florida Panhandle, as well as Southern Alabama and Georgia are invited to attend the 2026 Tri-State Fruit & Vegetable Conference. The 2026 conference will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Jackson County Extension Peanut Hall Auditorium (2741 Penn Ave, Marianna, FL). The meeting will begin with registration at 7:30 am (CST), with the conference to begin at 8:00 am.

This conference is an opportunity for Tri-State area fruit and vegetable farmers to gain new information and knowledge about research presented not only by UF/IFAS Extension, but also UGA Cooperative Extension and Alabama Cooperative Extension. New information will be provided on cucurbit crops and pesticide applicator CEUs will be available. This year’s conference will focus on new niche crop data, disease management, and grower information updates.

Saturday, January 24, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at the Jackson County Agriculture Office, 2741 Penn Avenue, Marianna.

This course is designed to help you better understand the homebuying process, analyze your personal financial and credit situation, and learn basic home care and maintenance techniques to maintain the value of your home and save money on repairs. This course is open to all participants, from individuals just beginning to those further along in the process. Completion of this course satisfies the homeownership education requirement for the SHIP and USDA Rural Development programs. The Florida Cooperative Extension Service is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency.
