West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) Youth Tour applications are now available from your school’s guidance counselor.

Youth Tour is a leadership program for local students. This program is sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), the Florida Electric Cooperative Association (FECA) and West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC). It connects high school juniors with opportunities to grow as leaders, explore civic engagement, and experience our government in action. Local students who are chosen to represent their high schools will enjoy a two-day trip to Tallahassee, where they meet with state leaders and gain firsthand insight into public service and government. From this group, two students are selected to represent WFEC in Washington, D.C., joining peers from across the nation for a week-long trip.

The two Washington Youth Tour winners will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for college or trade school, and the alternate winner will receive a $500 scholarship. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of this experience. 84964004

If you are a high school junior whose parent or guardian is a member of WFEC, ask your school’s guidance counselor how to apply today. Youth Tour is a wonderful opportunity for you to grow, lead, and represent your community.
